Job Details

The AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Application Architect will oversee the design, configuration, and integration of SCADA systems using AVEVA software. This role includes working with stakeholders to meet operational and security needs, as well as providing technical leadership and support throughout the project lifecycle.  This position is remote and can be located in Canada or the US.



Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive SCADA system architectures that meet the specific needs of the organization, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. 

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and system designs. 

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools to enhance the SCADA system's performance and capabilities. 

  • Create detailed design documents, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications. 

  • Lead the configuration and customization of AVEVA Enterprise SCADA software to meet the organization's requirements. 

  • Develop and maintain interfaces to integrate SCADA systems with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, MES, and data analytics platforms.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of SCADA systems to ensure they function correctly and meet performance standards. 

  • Oversee the deployment of SCADA systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and a smooth transition to the new system.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct technical reviews of system designs, configurations, and implementations to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.

  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 

  • Professional certifications related to AVEVA Enterprise SCADA systems and cyber security. 

  • Experience with related AVEVA products and industry-based solutions. 

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards

  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and integrating Enterprise SCADA systems, including system architecture design, configuration, and deployment, as well as providing technical leadership and support throughout the project lifecycle. 

  • Experience with cybersecurity practices and standards for industrial control systems. 

  • Excellent technical management and leadership skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
