Job Details
The SCADA Integrator plays a key role in the integration of projects to SCADA production by providing technical support, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and application testing/configuration changes. They work collaboratively with the client and Dexcent team members to meet project scope and timelines.
Work location is flexible in Canada/USA. Work will primarily be remote, with visits to client sites in person and travel as needed.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with Control Centre staff in the planning, organizing and delivering of projects to the Control Centre.
Work closely with the Loss Management, Power and Margin, Infrastructure Optimization, Control System teams (among others) to assist on requests to meet business needs.
Work closely with the SCADA Operations and SCADA Support teams to ensure changes in the SCADA System is communicated and transitioned properly.
Oversee the successful transition of applications and new instance OASyS into operation.
Provide guidance to junior Integrators or at times, coordinate the work of a small team.
Assist in SCADA system commissioning effort.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
Collaborate with team members to ensure SCADA project needs are met.
Communicate technical requirements to non-technical audience members.
Prepare and maintain documentation.
Demonstrate commitment to the team and its success.
Participate in the Health and Safety program.
Support the development and transition of the SCADA Replacement Program.
Comply with all relevant change management procedures.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
A minimum of 4 year(s) of related SCADA experience.
Experience working with the OASyS SCADA system.
Working Knowledge of UNIX, C, C++, Java, and Perl programming language.
Working Knowledge of Process Control Systems and SCADA.
Ability to lead, develop and monitor activities of junior staff.
Strong analytical, communications and problems solving skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
