Dexcent is expanding our team with experienced HMI Development Leads.

  • Seniority Level - Mid-Senior level 

  • Industry - Industrial Automation, Information Technology & Services, Oil & Energy

  • Job Functions – Engineering, Information Technology

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • HMI/SCADA Development utilizing industry languages including

  • Multiple phase testing including FAT, SAT, and commissioning. 

  • Display migration from previous versions of OASyS or legacy control systems. 

  • Display creation from scratch utilizing requirements gathered from customers. 

  • Leading and mentoring junior to intermediate level staff and conducting technical reviews.

  • Creation of HMI style guides and design guides for customer/client use. 


Candidate Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Seven or more years of work experience.

  • HMI development experience with skills in build, system configuration, documentation, testing and status reporting.

  • P&ID familiarity and working experience building displays from said P&IDs.

  • Previous experience interacting with clients or customers in sales/demonstrations, requirements gathering, issue resolution, or project review meetings.

  • Personal effectiveness (initiative, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, ability to learn, flexibility/adaptability, quality results).

  • OASyS database configuration/modification experience.

  • Knowledge of GUI design principles.

  • Working knowledge of API RP 1165 Recommended Practice for Pipeline SCADA Displays.

  • XOS Project Integration experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communications.

  • Profit and cost sensitivity.

  • Previous team leadership or mentorship role.

  • Geographical displays experience.

  • Advanced Display Building experience.
