Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Senior SCADA Database Specialist to join our growing team. The individual will need to be an expert in database management and SCADA systems, specifically with a strong background in OASyS and Enterprise SCADA technologies. Our ideal candidate would reside in either Edmonton and/or Calgary, AB.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimize database structures for SCADA systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
Configure and maintain OASyS and Enterprise SCADA real-time and historical databases, including data points, historical data, and event logs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data flow, minimize latency, and maintain seamless system integration with real-time SCADA data.
Identify and resolve issues within the SCADA environment, providing guidance and support to stakeholders for ongoing operations.
Develop comprehensive documentation for system architecture, procedures, and maintenance; provide regular status updates and performance reports to management.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
15+ years in database management, with a significant focus on SCADA systems (OASyS and Enterprise SCADA experience is essential).
Relevant industry certifications in SCADA, database management are highly advantageous.
Strong command of database systems, SCADA interface protocols (e.g., OPC), and real-time data integration.
Ability to assess system performance, diagnose issues, and recommend improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
